mag-flux A

Our magnetic-inductive sensors (MID) are precision measurement devices and suitable for linear flow measurement of almost all electrically conductive liquids, as well as slurries, pulps and pastes. Thanks to the magnetic field’s properties, these devices can be used for flow speeds up to 10 m/s (32.8 ft/s) and for a minimum conductivity of 20 / 3 µS/cm.

The flow meter consists of a sensor and a corresponding measuring transducer. They are available both in separate and in compact designs.

mag-flux M1

The mag-flux M1 measuring transducer was developed specifically for use with the magnetic-inductive mag-flux-series flow sensors. With an optionally available operating module and a local display, the measuring transducer is easy to adapt to customer requirements.

The mag-flux M1 is a microprocessor-controlled, programmable measuring transducer and can be adapted to the user requirements. While the fundamental configuration, e.g. sensor calibration with parameterisation of these values in the measuring transducer is performed in the plant, the customer can make further settings and required changes at any time. The measuring transducer records and processes the measurement signals from the corresponding mag-flux-series magnetic-inductive sensor. It is suitable for medium flow speeds up to 10 m/s.

The mag-flux M1 measuring transducer is available in both separate and compact designs. This applies in particular when combined with the mag-flux A and mag-flux S sensors. Only separate designs can be implemented when using the mag-flux F5, mag-flux MIS 1/D and mag-flux MIS 2/15 sensors.

The mag-flux M1 is designed with communication capabilities. With an optionally available additional module, it can also be used with the HART® protocol.

mag-flux T4

MECON has upgraded flow meters for sprinkler system applications with the mag-flux® T4, offering a solution with a fast 16-bit microcontroller and an electrical 4 – 20 mA output. As a result, the mag-flux® T4 is easy to integrate in existing remote monitoring systems, and the measurements can be evaluated in a control centre. For installation, the device offers an impressive range of connection options – e.g. flange, threaded or groove connections. In fact, the mag-flux® T4 fire pump test meter is the only product with a VdS-approved groove connection. The measurement accuracy is ±0.5%.

mag-flux F5

This special type of magnetic-inductive sensors (MID) is particularly suitable for measuring flows of very small quantities and especially for use in portioning and metering tasks. Combined with the Transmag 2 measuring transducer, the integrated metering software can solve complex metering challenges.

The magnetic-inductive sensor is recommended for flow measurement of electrically conductive liquids – especially for measuring very small quantities. The mag-flux F5 is available in nominal sizes DN 2 to DN 12.

mag-flux HTL

The mag-flux HTL hydrant tester is used in fire protection as well as in water management and serves for quick and easy performance testing of hydrants – among others according to W 405 and DIN 14462. The mobile flow and pressure measuring device is extremely robust. As it has no moving parts, it causes no pressure loss and is easy to clean with its splash-proof housing and can also be used in rainy weather without any problems.

Flow, pressure and new temperature measurement¹ of the hydrant
Equipped with the latest software, water pressure, flow rate and total flow rate are displayed from the beginning of each measurement. The device measures creeping quantities and carries out measurements of fire water or well water quantities. Now the temperature can be measured and documented optionally.

For the water industry, it is possible to determine the FNU values by means of separate turbidity measurement, especially during flushing campaigns, and thus to adapt the flushing strategy efficiently and in a resource-saving manner.

Data transfer via Bluetooth from the hydrant tester to the mobile device via app
The measuring process can now be controlled not only by the easily readable display but also by the practice-proven app from wasserkarte.info. All measured data for pressure, flow, temperature and turbidity are transmitted live from the hydrant tester to the app. The measuring protocols as well as diagrams are displayed directly as preview.
